The Deidra Fund: Providing Veterinary Care for Pets in Need
Our mission is to provide funding for necessary veterinary care for companion animals, who, due to financial restraints, would not otherwise receive the care, thereby reducing the number of preventable euthanasia and re-homings.
The Deidra Fund is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that exists to provide veterinary medical services for families with pets in need of such services but without the financial resources to provide such services.
Our goals are to keep these pets in the deserving and loving homes they already have, thereby reducing the number of pets in the foster pet system and the number of euthanasia performed due solely to financial constraints. The Deidra Fund has been established in memorial to Dr. Deidra Blackmon, a wonderful and compassionate veterinarian, friend, and daughter lost to us all by a random act of violence. May she never be forgotten.
